Wayne O. Noland Obituary (1915 - 2015)

Wayne O. Noland, 100, of Moweaqua, IL passed away at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital. A service to celebrate Wayne's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne will be laid to rest next to his wife Freda at Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Sanner Chapel United Methodist Church or Habitat for Humanity. Wayne was born on June 9, 1915 in Blackland, IL, the son of Blake and Zella (Overmier) Noland. He married Freda Parr on April 8, 1939. She preceded him in death on March 1, 1998. Wayne farmed his entire life near Macon, IL. He was an 88 year member of Sanner Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the Lions Club of Moweaqua. He was a member of the Barber Shop Chorus and sang in the quartet at Sanner Chapel and also with Morningstar. Wayne loved bowling, woodworking, delivering meals for Meal on Wheels, working with Habitat for Humanity and his many mission trips. Wayne is survived by his children: Charlotte (Jerry) Aldridge of Decatur, IL, Paul (Joyce) Noland of Pana, IL and Donna (Mike) Chestnut of Mt. Zion, IL; sister: Shirley (Kenny) Hinton of Mansfield, IL; sisters-in-law: Fran Noland of Moweaqua, IL and LaVica Noland of Decatur, IL; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; seven great step grandchildren; seven great-great step grandchildren.
