Theresa "Terry" Wuellner Obituary (1931 - 2022)

Theresa "Terry" Wuellner 91, of Decatur, IL passed away at 2:35 p.m., Monday December 26, 2022, in her residence. The family will gather for a time of visitation Thursday evening, December29, 2022, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial be made in Terry's honor to Ambucs Scholarship Fund 1090 South Wildwood Dr., Mt. Zion, IL 62549 or to St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at dawson-wikoff.com. Terry was born January 5, 1931, in Galesburg, IL the daughter of Arthur and Anna (McCusker) Barton. She married Charles Wuellner on April 22, 1950. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1989. Terry was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She was a founding member of the Lincoln Land Ambucs Club and a former volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital. Surviving are her children: David Wuellner (Karen) of Jenks, OK, Stephen Wuellner (Nancy) of Decatur, IL, James Wuellner(Jan) of Avon, IN, Judith Batty (Richard) of Fitchburg, WI, Thomas Wuellner (Jane) of Evanston, IL, Janet Ferris (Greg) of Mt. Zion, IL, Joseph Wuellner (Linda) of Oregon, WI, and Linda Wuellner of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Kristin, Tricia, Scott, Jennifer, Ryan, Mark, Laura, Niki, John, Rachel, Claire, Michael, Adrienne, and Matt and their families; seventeen great grandchildren also survive. Terry was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter: Barbara Wuellner, two brothers and two sisters. Terry was a kind, friendly, generous, and compassionate woman. Her smile would always lite up the room as she was looked upon as a motherly figure to all she encountered. She enjoyed sharing her special cooking with many of her friends and family and will be sadly missed.
