Roy Warnick Obituary (1943 - 2014)

Roy Warnick, 70, of Macon, IL passed away at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday (June 15, 2014) at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL. A service to celebrate Roy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday (June 20, 2014) at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be in South Macon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to South Macon Fire Department. Roy was born on September 28, 1943 in Decatur, IL, the son of Donald G. and Maud I. (Dietrich) Warnick. He was a 1961 graduate of Macon High School. Roy worked for 35 years at Firestone Tire Company in Decatur, IL. He was a lifelong member of Macon Presbyterian Church, former member of Illinois Standard Bred Owners & Breeders Association and a member of the Show Stoppers Car Club. Roy is survived by his brother: George (LouAnn) Warnick of Macon, IL; sister-in-law: Pat Warnick of Macon, IL; nephews: Michael (Kelly) Warnick of Naperville, IL, Joe (Katie) Warnick of Macon, IL, Jeff Warnick of Macon, IL and Dan Warnick of Charleston, IL; niece: Beth (Brandon) Warren of Denver, CO; great nephews:: Brennan Warnick, Matthew Warnick, Will Warnick and Everett Warren; great niece: Hannah Warnick.
