Rosella E Leigh Obituary (1931 - 2022)

Rosella E. Leigh 91, of Decatur, IL passed away at 3:10 p.m., Sunday, August 21, 2022, in Heritage Health Mt. Zion, IL. A funeral service to honor Rosella' life will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 27, 2022, in Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 1645 S 44th Street, Decatur, with Pastor Justin Neufeld officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time. The family encourages you to wear your favorite St. Louis Cardinals shirt or hat for Rosella's services. Burial will follow at Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Trinity Church of the Nazarene. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion is assisting the family with services. Rosella was born March 10, 1931, in Fayette County, IL the daughter of Charles and Grace (Strech) Mize. She married Koven Leigh on March 25, 1967. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2016. Rosella enjoyed cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Bulls. Surviving are her sons: Bob "Butch" Trent II (Debbie) of Decatur and Brant Trent of Mt. Zion; daughter Brenda Blankenship of Long Creek; step-daughter: Diana Hayes of Decatur; twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren also survive.
