Roger Alan Lanham Obituary (1944 - 2018)

Roger Alan Lanham 73, of Decatur, IL passed away at 12:13 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2018, in Decatur Memorial Hospital. A service to celebrate Roger's life will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, April 13, 2018, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Macon County Honor Guard and the US Navy Honors Team. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Northeast Community Building Fund. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com. Roger was born December 8, 1944, in Decatur, IL the son of Arthur E. and Fern (Clodfelter) Lanham. Roger served his country in the US Navy. He married Bonnie M. (Farkas) Hall on October 25, 1974. He retired from the Laborers Local #159. Roger was a die-hard Cubs fan and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Surviving are his wife: Bonnie of Decatur; children: Richard Alan Lanham of Orting, WA, Michael W. Hall (Nikki) of Somonauk, IL, Garry S. Lanham (Karin) of Neoga, IL and Tonya Huddleston (Robert) of Shelbyville, IL; brother: Richard L. Lanham (Deb) of Decatur; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. Roger was preceded in death by his parents.
