Rick Turner Obituary (1951 - 2016)

Rick Turner, 64, of Decatur passed away on Monday (Jan. 18, 2016) in his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the House of Deliverance, COGIC at 1306 N. Warren, Decatur, IL. Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements. Rick was born on July 30, 1951 in Decatur, IL the son of Harvey R. and Norma D. (Evans) Turner. Rick married Linda (Harty) Johnson on May 28, 1993. Most recently he worked for several area nursing homes in maintenance. Rick enjoyed spending his spare time watching Nascar, Football and old cowboy movies especially John Wayne. Surviving is his wife, Linda; step-daughter: Sandi Johnson of Terre Haute, IN; step-son: Matthew (Amber) Johnson of Arlington, TX; two step-grandchildren: Gillian and Brandon Johnson; special aunt: Ora Turner of Macon, IL; close cousins: George Turner of Macon, IL, Joe Turner of Niantic, IL and Jennie (Howard Rankin) Thompson; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
