Raymond E. Luka Obituary (1938 - 2019)

Raymond E. Luka, 80, of Blue Mound, IL passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital. A service to honor and celebrate Raymond's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Blue Mound. Raymond will be laid to rest in Bethel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Raymond was born on October 9, 1938 in Decatur, IL, the son of William and Emma (Schimanski) Luka. He married Patricia Ann Jones on June 14, 1958. He proudly served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers being stationed in Greenland. Raymond was a farmer, hog farmer, truck driver, welder, carpenter and a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. He enjoyed family cookouts, gardening and socializing. Raymond is survived by his wife: Patricia Ann Luka of Blue Mound, IL, his sons: Greg (Barb) Luka of Blue Mound, IL and Mark (Carla) Luka of Blue Mound, IL; sister: Helen Entler of Decatur, IL; brothers: Fred (Margo) Luka of Indianapolis, IN and Butch Luka of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren: Zach (Mary) Luka, Justin Luka, Garth (Morgan) Luka, Stacey Pryczynski, Tracey Pryczynski, Emily Luka and Blake Luka; great grandchildren: Annamarie, Colbe, Ellis and Ila. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant twins: Dennis Ray Luka and Kandice Kay Luka and 9 brothers and sisters.
