Randy D. Pirtle Obituary (1958 - 2014)

Randy Dallas Pirtle, 56, of Decatur, IL passed away on Monday (Oct. 13, 2014) at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be held at a later date, cremation rights have been accorded. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Randy was born on April 8, 1958 in Decatur, IL, the son of Carlis and Sarah (Rollinger) Pirtle. Randy was a carpenter and was the owner of RP Construction. He was a former member of A.B.A.T.E. and Second Church of God. Randy was a hard worker and enjoyed riding his Harley, camping, fishing and operating RC cars. Randy is survived by his fianc of 11 years: Paula L. Hamson of Elwin, IL; children: Shauna Meyers of Decatur, IL, Timothy Davis and his wife Rustina of Oklahoma, Michael Pirtle of Texas, Josh Pirtle of Texas, Garrett Pirtle of Decatur, IL, Brandon Mayer of Elwin, IL, David Mayer of Decatur, IL, Amber Ring of Elwin, IL and Destiny Ring of Decatur, IL; brothers: Danny Pirtle of Decatur, IL and David Pirtle of Decatur, IL; sister: Sally Hackney of Mt. Zion, IL; 23 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother: Ricky Pirtle, niece: Jennifer Hackney and his nephew: Michael Hackney Jr. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Trina and Renee at Aperion Care.
