Phyllis M. Ellegood Obituary (1926 - 2019)

Phyllis M. Ellegood, 92, of Decatur, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at Hickory Point Christian Village in Forsyth. Phyllis was born August 13, 1926 in Decatur the daughter of Glenn and Ella (Blankenburg) Webb. She was a child care provider at KinderCare Center retiring after thirty-five years of service. Phyllis was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being a grandma and spending time with family, playing games, crosswords, and knitting. Phyllis married Virgil Ellegood December 5, 1943. He preceded her in death March 13, 2015. Phyllis is survived by her children Joyce Kellogg and Glenn "Toby" (Valerie) Ellegood, grandchildren Julie Rambo, Matt (Stacey) Ellegood, Sara (Greg) Bramhall, and Monica Ellegood, great-grandchildren Lauren and Hannah Rambo, Devon (Courtney) Bramhall, and Nate Ellegood, and great-great-granddaughter Izzy. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Tom Ellegood. Graveside services to celebrate Phyllis' life will be 1:30 PM Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Harristown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 PM Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel.
