Olga H Chambers Obituary (1918 - 2016)

Olga H. Chambers 98, of Decatur, IL passed away at 10:27 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2016, in Symphony of Decatur Nursing Home. In keeping with Olga's wishes cremation rites will be accorded and private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Decatur, IL. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com. Olga was born August 28, 1918, in East Moline, IL the daughter of George and Katherine (Koutelas) Stacenopulos. She married William C. Chambers. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2002. Olga enjoyed fashion design and was thought of as a woman ahead of her time in clothing fashion. Olga was retired from retail sales having worked for JC Penney, Myers Brothers Department Store and Newman's. Surviving is her daughter: Adele Bryant and her husband William of Joliet, IL. She had a sister: Lucille. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter: Kathi, parents, and her two brothers.
