Merry C. Berry Obituary (1964 - 2016)

Merry C. Berry, 51, of Macon, IL passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital. A service to celebrate Merry's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Merry will be laid to rest in South Macon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to D.O.V.E. Merry was born on December 25, 1964 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Fred and Sandy (Pygott) Neilson. She married Roger E. Berry on August 7, 2004. Merry served in multiple jobs in central Illinois, always helping others before herself. She was a member of the Decatur Moose Lodge and Women's Bowling Association. Merry enjoyed making crafts and sewing. She is survived by her husband: Roger E. Berry of Macon, IL; sons: James Lynn Heckwine of Decatur, IL and Dustin Lee Berry of Decatur, IL; brother: Jim (Tammy) Neilson of Maroa, IL; sisters: Cindy Lehman of Decatur, IL and Monica (Erik) Royer of Roby, IL; grandchildren: Chassidy Lynn Heckwine, Ciara Elaine Thompson, Reegan Michelle Berry and Camden William Stroud; nieces and nephew: LaTisha Neilson, Nakeisha Schoneman, April Royer and Derick Royer.
