Mary Jane "Peggy" Kniseley DeSarbo Obituary (1921 - 2016)

Mary Jane "Peggy" Kniseley DeSarbo, 94, of Decatur, IL passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016. A graveside service to honor and celebrate Peggy's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Zion Cemetery, Boody, IL. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Peggy was born in Kingsley, Iowa, December 13, 1921, to John Scott and Ruth (Nash) Kniseley. She graduated from Kingsley High School in 1942 and lived in several states throughout her life, including Iowa, Utah, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Illinois, often working in the food industry. Peggy enjoyed crocheting, cooking, playing cards, and laughter with friends and family. She enjoyed returning to Kingsley for the Nash family reunions held in the city park where family members looked forward to sharing the delicious food she and her sister would bring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny DeSarbo in 1977, her brothers John Scott "Jackie" and William "Bill" and his wife Ruth (Black) Kniseley, her sisters Darlene (infancy) and Theoan and her husband R.E.
