Marilynn M. Baer Obituary (1932 - 2015)

Maryilynn M. Baer 83, of Harristown, IL passed away 6:45 p.m., Thursday, December 24, 2015, in Fair Havens Christian Home, Decatur, IL. A service to celebrate Maryilynn's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with Steve Gambrill officiating. Maryilynn will be laid to rest in the Harristown Township Cemetery, next to her husband Edgar. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 12:00 Noon Wednesday until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Homeward Bound Pet Shelter, Good Samaritan Inn or the New Life Pregnancy Center. Pauline (Campbell) St. John Sr. She married Edgar E. Baer on July 17, 1955, in the Maroa Presbyterian Church. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2014. She was a homemaker and had worked as a secretary for several different organizations during her lifetime. She was a member of the Harristown Christian Church. Surviving are her children: Mark Baer and his wife Dawn of Decatur and Dianne Endrizzi and her special Friend Jeff Williams of Decatur; grandson: Justin Baer and his wife Cheryl of Decatur; granddaughter: Melissa Baer of Mt. Zion; niece: Carol Wilke and her husband Scott, great nephew: Bryan Venable and his wife Gail, and great-great niece: Zoe Marie Venable all of Missouri; sister-in-law: Joan Baer Smith of Decatur; and her special Canine Companion: Ellie Beagle. Maryilynn was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother: W.H. "Wally" St. John Jr.
