Marilyn "Dee" St. Pierre Obituary (1941 - 2014)

Marilyn "Dee" St. Pierre 72, of Mt. Zion passed away at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, September 4, 2014, in her daughter's residence. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation Monday evening, September 8, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Dee was born November 19, 1941, in Lincoln, IL the daughter of Quinter and Hazel (Turney) Miller. She married Edwin P. St. Pierre on January 29, 1961. He preceded her in death on September 4, 2007. She worked as a LPN for Dr. Shackelford and Cummins Medical practice in Cerro Gordo, IL for twenty-five years. She went on to work for Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Zion for 18 years until her retirement. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her daughters: Brenda Harvey and her husband Gary of Oakley, and Paula Crawford and her husband Curt of Corbin, KY; grandchildren: Shannon St. Pierre and his wife Cristal of Mt. Zion, Cy Crawford of Cerro Gordo, Michael Roasio of Decatur, Jynex Crawford of London, KY, Taylor Harvey and Shelby Banks of Decatur, Wes Crawford of Cerro Gordo and Kameron Harvey of Decatur; great grandchildren: Amaya, Michael Jr., Jarelle, Nathan, Jy'Lenda, and Lyric; sisters: Dr. Janice Hoffman and her husband Dr. Larry of Claremont, CA, MaryLou Bruder of St. Charles, MO and Ellen Bell of Carbondale, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother: Elizabeth Miller; husband, grandson: William "BJ" Roasio, brother: Roger Miller, step-sister: Ruth Ann Gisinger McClellen. The family wishes to give special thanks to her son-in-law: Gary Harvey, for taking such great care of her. We would also like to give thanks to her hospice nurse Carolyn and her bath aid Kim.
