Luther Everett Swift Obituary (1961 - 2015)

Luther E. Swift Jr. 53, of Decatur, IL passed away at 2:40 a.m., May 30, 2015, in Decatur Memorial Hospital. In keeping with Luther's wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Luther was born June 5, 1961, in Donavan, MO the son of Luther E. and Thelma (McNew) Swift Sr. He formerly was a delivery driver for a pharmaceutical company. He is a member of Salem Baptist Church. He married Carol Ann Clark on June 16, 1990. Surviving is his wife: Carol Ann Swift of Decatur; daughters: Sky Swift and Heather Swift both of Decatur; brothers: David Swift of Decatur and Mike Swift of Harristown; sisters: Debra Woods and her husband Charles of Decatur and Audrey Mendenhall of Decatur; step brother: Ricky Hagy and his wife Kathy of Dexter, MO. He was preceded in adeath by his parents and grandparents.
