Lily Bernice Koprek Obituary (1935 - 2016)

Lily Bernice Koprek, 80, born on December 5, 1935, to Lucille (Oswald) and Ezra Revis went to be with the Lord early in the hours of October 15, 2016. She leaves behind her son: Michael (Heather) Koprek of Decatur, IL; daughter: Janet Koprek of St. Louis, MO; sister: Kathleen (Jesse) Thompson; brothers: Michael (Linda) Revis and Philip (RuthAnn) Revis; She loved her grandchildren: Collin Henry, Cerella (John) Di Mondo, Dalton (Tina) Koprek, and Breahna Koprek and her great-grands: Willow, Luigi, Wren Di Mondo and Amos Brown were a source of joy. She loved to read and study the Bible. She graduated as Valedictorian of Blue Mound High School, class of 1954. When her children were young, she was the President of the Lutheran School Association PTA. She was an accomplished artist and in the 1980s was the President of the Barn Colony in Decatur IL. She married Frederick L. Koprek on May 29, 1954. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: James and Robert. A service to celebrate Lily's life will be held at 11:15 a.m., Friday, October 21, 2016, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
