Lea M. Kirtland Obituary (1936 - 2018)

Lea M. Kirtland, 81, of Decatur, IL passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in North Fork Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Decatur House of Prayer. Lea was born on December 16, 1936 in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Fuller and Marjorie (Cannon) Brock. She was the owner/operator of Cafe Tiffany for 10 years. Lea was a member of Lampstand Presbyterian Church and a founding member of Decatur House of Prayer. She volunteered at Holy Family and St. Patrick Catholic Church, provided food for the men's homeless shelter, was a Cub Scout leader and a champion for homeless animals. Lea adored her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lea is survived by her children: James Kirtland of Los Alamos, NM, Kimberlea (Jon) Robinson of Decatur, IL and Melissa (Gregory) Eskue of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Katie (Jason) Steil of Peoria, AZ, Lea Drew (Rob) Hickey of Forsyth, IL, Christopher James Kirtland of Peoria, AZ, Matthew (Rachelle) Eskue of Albany, OR and Joseph Jacobus of Santa Monica, CA; great grandchildren: Alexis Leann Steil, Grayson James Steil, Elizabeth Lea Hickey, Jordyn Lee Kirtland and Marlee Jaymes Kirtland; sister-in-law: Joy Reese of Sun City West, AZ; much loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother: Edward Brock.
