Kelly Elaine Crowdson Obituary (1971 - 2015)

Kelly Elaine Crowdson, 43, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015, at her parent's home. Kelly was born on August 7, 1971, the daughter of Joseph Lee and Karen (Peters) Crowdson. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois-Springfield. Kelly worked as an IT manager for ADM. Kelly loved gardening, home decorating and taking care of her pets. She rescued multiple animals in her lifetime and was an advocate for pet rescues. She is survived by her parents, Joe and Karen Crowdson of Decatur, IL; 100 year old Grandmother: Frances Peters of Farmer City, IL; significant other: Paul Filler of Decatur, IL; brother: Brian (Amy) Crowdson of Springfield, IL; niece and nephew: Cassidy and Griffin Crowdson of Springfield, IL; half-sister: Pam Bosque of Arizona and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by many wonderful pets and her beloved Chihuahua, Dahlia. She will be dearly missed by her family and all of her close friends from ADM. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois and to the staff of St. Mary's Hospital. A special thanks to Dr. Kairouz and "Super Nurse" Victoria. A service to celebrate and honor her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday April, 23, 2015, at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00. A private family burial and memorial will take place at Green Hill Cemetery, Sullivan, Illinois, at a later date.
