John Thomas Lippard 65, of Decatur, IL passed away at 10:40 a.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 29, 2019, at North Fork Cemetery, Decatur. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion is assisting the family with services. John was born November 21, 1953, the son of James Thomas and Louetta (Doss) Lippard. John retired in 2009 as Trainmaster for Norfolk Southern Railroad. He married Judy on September 11, 1999. He was an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife: Judy of Decatur, sons: John Lippard of Maplewood, MO and Brian Lippard of O'Fallon, MO; Sarah McCabe (Ron) of Valley Park, MO; stepson: JR Auton (Julie) of Decatur; brother: Jerry Lippard (Nancy) of Florissant, MO; grandchildren: Elsie McCabe, Andrew, Nick, Zach, and Lauren Auton, Jackson and Ryker Ford. John was preceded in death by his parents, and step-daughter: Missy Ford.
