Joeann Washburn Obituary (1947 - 2013)

Joeann Washburn, 66, of Taylorville, IL passed away on Wednesday (Aug. 7, 2013) at McKinley Court. Private family services will be held at a later date. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Blue Mound is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Kidney Fund. Joeann was born on April 10, 1947 in Nokomis, IL, the daughter of Arthur J. and Mary A. (Kates) Sanders. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Stonington. Joeann was a proud grandmother and loved being with her grandchildren. Surviving are her son: Todd Washburn and his wife Marla of Blue Mound, IL; sister: Janet Hicks and her husband Dennis of Rochester, IL; grandchildren: Logan Washburn of Blue Mound, IL and Allyson Washburn of Blue Mound, IL; great granddaughter: Rylie Washburn of Mt. Zion, IL; nephew: Tim Hicks and his wife Kris of Lincoln, IL; niece: Shelli Richardson and her husband Keith of Petersburg, IL; beloved dog: Hannah. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two infant sons: Eric and Christopher Washburn.
