Jeremiah Jason Gwin Obituary (1976 - 2016)

Jeremiah Jason Gwin, 39, of Decatur, IL passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 in his residence. A service to celebrate Jeremiah's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:00-1:00 on Thursday. Jeremiah will be laid to rest in Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Jeremiah was born on July 18, 1976 in Decatur, IL, the son of James D. Gwin and Nanette Kay (Wood) Ruffin. He was a welder for many years, most recently with ADM. Jeremiah was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved his family and always greeted you with a smile. He is survived by his parents: James D. Gwin of Minco, OK and Nanette Kay Ruffin of Macon, IL; children: Kendall Paige Gwin and Nathaniel Riley Gwin both of Oologah, OK; brother: Luke Dale Gwin of Macon, IL; aunts and uncles: Adeona (Ty) Simpson of Macon, IL, Rachel (Rick) Buckley of Decatur, IL, Bob (Marge) Gwin of Lovington, IL and Brett (Tina) Gwin of Harristown, IL; six cousins; special friend: Niki Nees of Harristown, IL. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: John and Mary Gwin, Robert and Adeona Wood and his cousin: John Wayne Gwin.
