Jackie J Weltmer Obituary (1940 - 2013)

Jackie J. Weltmer, 72, of Mt. Zion, IL passed away on Sunday (Jan. 20, 2013) in her residence. A service to celebrate Jackie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday (Jan. 25, 2013) at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday. The family requests casual attire. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. John's Hospice. Mrs. Weltmer was born on October 22, 1940 in Altamont, IL, the daughter of Roy E. Davis, Sr. and Anna Mae (Tucker) Davis. She retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. after working there for over 40 years. Jackie was a member of the Decatur Moose Lodge and the Decatur Women's Bowling Association. She also enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband. She married Larry L. Weltmer on February 18, 1961. Surviving is her husband: Larry L. Weltmer of Mt. Zion, IL; daughter: Kim (Frank) Earl of Decatur, IL; son: Greg A. (Nancy) Weltmer of Blue Mound, IL; sister: Shirley (Andy) Andregg of Bee Branch, AR; brother: Rusty (Peggy) Davis of Oreana, IL; grandson: John Plotner of Blue Mound, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Dennis J.
