Jack L. Shelton, Sr., 76, of Decatur passed away at 2:35 p.m., October 2, 2012 in St. Mary's Hospital. Private family services will be held at a later date. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com. Jack was born April 21, 1936, in Decatur, IL the son of Harry L and Vera (Leming) Shelton. He owned and operated J.L. Shelton Concrete Company. Surviving are his children: Cindy Blackwell and her husband John, Jack L. Shelton Jr., Lisa Ann Shelton, and Sherri Lynn Mathias all of Decatur; sister-in-law: Lorraine Shelton of Branson, MO; eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
