J. Arlene Morgan Obituary (1947 - 2015)

J. Arlene (Wright) Morgan, 68, of Elwin, IL passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family. A service to celebrate and honor her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home at 515 West Wood St. Decatur, IL 62522. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Lincoln Land Down Syndrome Society. Arlene was born on Friday, May 9, 1947 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Guy Eugene and Lorna (Smith) Wright. She married Ed Morgan on October 11, 1964. She was part-owner with her family in Morgan Transportation as well as Morgan Express. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Her family and grandchildren were her everything. She also loved to travel and shop with her friends. Surviving is her husband of 51 years, Ed of Elwin, IL; two sons: Darrin Morgan of Manila, Phillipines and Jeff (Mindy) Morgan Mt. Zion, IL; three grandchildren: Mitchell, Jacob and Madison Morgan of Mt. Zion, IL; two great-grandchildren: Chloe and Geddy Morgan of Decatur, IL; brother: Gary (Toni) Wright of Decatur, IL; brother-in-law: Casper Roth of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Eric Morgan, grandson: Zach Morgan and sister Regina (Wright) Roth.
