Fredrich Meyer Obituary (1935 - 2014)

Fredrich Meyer of Dalton City, IL passed away at 2:10 a.m., August 10, 2014, in McKinley Court Nursing Home. In keeping with Fred's wishes, no formal services will be held and cremation rites will be accorded. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawsonwikoff.com Fred was born August 4, 1935, in Bremerhaven, Germany the son of Fredrich and Theresa (Ueffing) Meyer. He married Phyllis Ann LeHew on October 19, 1957. He was a retired truck driver for Nussbaum Trucking. The family rejoices that Fred recently accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Surviving is his wife: Ann of Sullivan; children: Mark Alan Meyer and his wife Shelly of Palmer, AK, Robert Wayne Meyer and his wife Beth of Philippines, Lisa Diane Dahnke and her husband Greg of Amelia, Ohio, and Jennifer Ann Shaw and her husband David of Columbia, SC; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, son: Fredy Meyer, and grandson: Frank Meyer.
