Floyd. L. "Bud" Miller 90, of Charleston, IL formerly of Bethany, IL passed away at 7:34 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2016. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until 12:45 p.m. at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion on Thursday, January 5, 2017. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Marrowbone Township Cemetery, Bethany. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Inn. Floyd was born October 31, 1926, in Marion, IL, the son of Harley G. and Bernice (Whitman) Miller. He retired as a mechanic and truck driver. He was a W.W. II Navy veteran. He married Bonny Hardwick. She preceded him in death in 2004. Surviving are his children: Connie Evans (Steve) of Kingman, IN, Beverly Potter (Thomas) of Charleston, Mark Miller (Jane) of Decatur, Eric Miller (Ruth) of Bethany, Susan Bennett of Charleston, Harley Miller of Dixson, MO, and Larry Gene Miller of Paris; twenty two grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two sons-in-law: Kenny Hill and David Bennett, and two brothers.
