Ethel M. Wingard Obituary (1926 - 2016)

Ethel M. Wingard 89, of Mt. Zion, IL passed away at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2016, with her family by her side. A service to celebrate Ethel's life will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2016, at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, Mt. Zion, with Rev. Mike Wakeland officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com. Ethel was born October 8, 1926, in Plum Creek Township, Armstrong County, PA the daughter of John C. and Catherine B. (Rearick) Graff. She married William R. "Bill" Wingard on June 9, 1945. He preceded her in death on December 16, 1978. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church and enjoyed gardening and quilting. Surviving are her children: Kenneth Wingard (Kelly) of Decatur, Robert "Bob" Wingard (Jeanne) of Nolensville, TN, Blair Wingard of Worcester, MA, Clair Wingard (Sharon) of Decatur, Thomas Wingard (Tanya) of Decatur, Keith Wingard (Tina) of Moweaqua, Pamela Kennedy (Mark) of Decatur, Faye Dean (Robert) of Decatur, and Jacqueline Franklin (Jamie) of Decatur; brother: John F. Graff of Rural Valley, PA; sister: Clara Jean Frye of Butler, PA; grandchildren: William Wingard (Sandy), Meaghan Mason (Willard), Molly Wingard, Shaughn Wingard, Jeffrey Wingard (Stephanie), Jill Wingard, Lindsey Wherley (Chris), Brandon Wingard (Ryan), Thomas "TJ" Wingard, Trevor Wingard, Tiffany Geltmaker (Kevin), Kristen Maclin (Anthony), Nicholas Wingard (Lynn), Leslie Hedenberg (Ben), Erin Clark (Chad), Brian Kennedy, Lisa Pope (Dale), Chad Wells, Jamie O'Brien (Tina), Cody Franklin (Amanda); thirty great-grandchildren also survive. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother: Samuel, and her great-granddaughter: Rylie Rene.
