Elisabeth M. Westjohn 92, of Mt. Zion, IL formerly of Tolono, IL passed away at 2:40 p.m. on November 19, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Elisabeth will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 24, 2014, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Tolono, IL, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time the morning of the Mass at the church. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion is assisting the family with services. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, Tolono, IL or Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Mt. Zion, IL. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com. Elisabeth was born February 14, 1922 in Effingham, IL the daughter of Albert and Mary (Dust) Brumleve. She married Henry T. Westjohn on June 19, 1946. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1981. Surviving are her children: Mike Westjohn and his wife Deborah of Monticello, IL, Ruth Hadler and her husband Jim of St. Joseph, IL, Elaine Westjohn of Mt. Zion, IL, Pauline Albers and her husband Leon of Thomasboro, IL, Kathleen Oates and her husband Larry of Derby, KS, Tony Westjohn and his wife Linda of Pomeroy, OH, Linda Westendorf and her husband Gail of Decatur, IL, Leonard Westjohn and his wife Tracy of Pensacola, FL, and Chris Booker of Mt. Zion, IL; brother: Stan Brumleve of Grand Rapids, ND; sisters: Agnes Wolfe of Effingham, IL and Mary Brumleve of Manteca, CA; eighteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, and one sister. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Dan Smith, Harbor Light Hospice, and all others who cared for Elisabeth during her illness.
