Dorothy Kay Uhrich Obituary (1945 - 2014)

Dorothy Kay Uhrich, 69, of Boody, IL, formerly of Blue Mound, IL, passed away at 12:54 p.m. on Sunday (July 27, 2014) at Decatur Memorial Hospital. A memorial service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday (July 31, 2014) at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Blue Mound. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to First Southern Baptist Church of Boody. Dorothy was born on April 22, 1945 in Mt. Auburn, IL, the daughter of Clifford and Joscelyn (Thompson) Montgomery. She was a homemaker and worked at Bekenmar Church Furniture. Dorothy was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Boody. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, cooking, crafts, sewing and traveling. She was very compassionate, helping her family and her church family whenever she could. Dorothy married Ronald G. Uhrich on September 24, 1963. Dorothy is survived by her husband: Ronald G. Uhrich of Boody, IL; children: Rhonda (Mark) Daniel of Boody, IL, David W. (Catherine) Uhrich of Olympia, WA, Rita (Tim) Baldwin of Decatur, IL, Chuck Uhrich of Decatur, IL; brothers: Max (Laurie) Montgomery of Doucette, TX, Rex (Janet) Montgomery of Taylorville, IL; sister: Diana (Dean) Waterman of Harvel, IL; grandchildren: Clifford (Amber) Tucker of Boody, IL, Amber (Scott) Renfro of Boody, IL, Matthew (Amber) Daniel of Pontiac, IL, Elizabeth Bugger of Williamsville, IL, Noelle Bowman of Warrensburg, IL, John Baldwin of Decatur, IL, Holly Baldwin of Decatur, IL, Sierra Uhrich of Olympia, WA; great grandchildren: Timothy, Tucker, Thomas, Gabby, Dylan, Tyler and Jace; best friends: Patty Russell of Elwin, IL and Doris Austin of Boody, IL.
