Craig Eugene Smith Obituary (1959 - 2014)

Craig Eugene Smith, 55, of Mt. Zion, passed away at 1:59 p.m., Monday, April 28, 2014, in his residence. A service to celebrate Craig's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 2, 2014, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion with Pastor Dean Cripe officiating. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home. Craig was born February 13, 1959, in Decatur, IL the son of Cloyce and Mardel (Saathoff) Smith. He was a 1977 graduate of MacArthur High School. He married Toni on October 6, 1990. He worked as an estimator for Collision Revision, Champaign, IL. Craig enjoyed playing cards, and was a NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals and the Illini. Surviving is his son: Colby E. Smith and his fiance Megan Bledsoe of Decatur; brothers: Al White and his wife Donna of Decatur, Mark White and his wife Donna of North Richland Hills, TX and Carl Smith and his wife Karin of Corinth, TX. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents.
