Chris A. Sablotny Obituary (1961 - 2016)

Chris A. Sablotny, 55, of Hemet, CA passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 in Hemet Valley Medical Center. A memorial service to celebrate and honor his life will be held at 6:00 P.M on Monday September 26, 2016 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home North Chapel, Decatur, IL. Chris was born on April 1, 1961 in Macon County, IL the son of Larry and Carol (Church) Sablotny. He graduated from Violet Hill High School in Violet Hill, Arkansas. Chris worked for over 30 years laying carpet and with that experience he became very popular in his trade. Chris thoroughly enjoyed Nascar Racing and his favorite driver Tony Stewart. Surviving is his son: Chris, Jr.; five brothers: Carl Mendenall and his girlfriend, Tara Ramos of Decatur, IL; Doug Mendenall and his wife Kathy of Decatur, IL; Terry Sablotny and his girlfriend, Debbie Wiggins of Arkansas; Denny Mendenall of Tennessee; David Mendenall of Clinton, IL; three sisters: Lori Stimeling and her husband Mike of North Carolina; Pam Morgan of Georgia and Cathy Walston of Decatur, IL; step-dad: Paul Mendenall of Decatur, IL.
