Cheryl Sue Trimmer Obituary (1948 - 2018)

Cheryl S. "Cheri" Trimmer 70, of Mt. Zion passed away at 11:34 p.m., Friday, August 10, 2018, in Fair Havens Christian Home. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the Mt. Zion Township Cemetery, Mt. Zion, IL. Cheryl was born July 19, 1948, in Decatur, IL the daughter of Loy E. and Anna Cleone (Kenley) Wattles. She worked for Wal-Mart for the past twelve years. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi and helped develop the chapter in Mt. Zion. She also belonged to the Sweet Adeline's. She married Harry C. Trimmer on February 14, 1986. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2001. Surviving are her children: Sonya Taylor (Jeff) of Marana, AZ, Jason Hammon (Amanda) of Davenport, IA, and Justin Weaver of Decatur; step-daughter: Trena Bonnell (Mark) of Decatur; brother: Paul Wattles (Lucille) of Hollywood, FL; thirteen grandchildren also survive. Also surviving is her special friend: Mike Giblin of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters; and her step-son. We will miss you deeply, Mom and Grammy.
