Charles Glenn "Chipp" Richards Obituary (1981 - 2022)

Charles Glenn "Chipp" Richards, 41, of Macon, IL passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022. A Masonic Rites service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon immediately followed by the funeral service. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chipp was born on June 16, 1981 in Decatur, IL, the son of O. Richard J. Richards and Connie Rae (Smith) Richards. He was a member of several masonic lodges which includes the Macon Lodge #8, South Macon Lodge #467, Edgar Lodge #829, Macon Chapter #21 R.A.M., Decatur Council #16 R&S, Beuamanoir Commandery #9 K.T. He served the Grand Lodge of Illinois AF&AM as the District Deputy Grand Master of the 10th Eastern District. Chipp was a Las Vegas Raiders fan. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, cooking, concerts, going to Memphis, TN and tormenting his nieces and nephews. Chipp is survived by his mother: Connie Richards of Macon, IL; brother: Chad Richards of Macon, IL; sister: Nyssa Richards-Miller and her husband Mark of Decatur, IL; nieces and nephews: Felicity Richards, Malachi Richards, Jennica Richards-Hemingway and Merrick Richards-Miller; Chipp also loved his Memphis, TN family. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and his Memphis cohort Don Moore.
