Celeste Marie Thompson Obituary (1957 - 2017)

Celeste Marie Thompson 59, of Decatur, IL passed away in her residence at 10:15 p.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2017. A service to celebrate Celestes life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2017, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Burial will be in Harristown Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Celeste was born on December 16, 1957, in Decatur, the daughter of M. Doreen (Foster) Bublitz. She married Terry Thompson on October 27, 1989. She worked in the office for Dr. Dennis Vaughn Foot and Ankle Clinic. She enjoyed fishing. Surviving are her husband: Terry of Decatur; son: Nate Thompson (Elise) of Peoria; daughter: Brittanie Thompson of Decatur; brothers: Steve Bublitz (Gladys) of Decatur, Mitch Bublitz (Connie) of Harristown, Tracy Bublitz (Mary) of Horn Lake, MS, Matt Bublitz and Mark Bublitz both of Charleston, SC. She was preceded in death by her mother and her brother: Greg.
