Bonnie R. Gawthorp 79, of Decatur, IL passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. A private family service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at dawson-wikoff.com Bonnie was born on September 8, 1943, in Decatur, IL the daughter of Warren and Alice Brooks. She retired from the former Sunnyside School in Decatur as a teaching assistant. Surviving are her children: Brian Gawthorp and Jill Bouvet (Timothy); brother: Steven Brooks (Barb); sisters: Toni Faust (Ron) and Jody Sanders (Thomas); grandchildren: Jonathan Bouvet (Jordan), Darren Bouvet (Bayley), Amy Rowcliffe (Chad), and Mitchell Gawthorp; great-grandchildren: Ryan, Jasmin, Brysun, Cheyenne, and Emma; and great-great-grandson, Everett. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Gene and her parents. In lieu of flowers, do something kind for someone else in memory of Bonnie.
