Betty "June" Miller Obituary (1934 - 2016)

Beverly "June" Miller 81, of Decatur, IL passed away at 9:48 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2016, at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care, Mt. Zion, IL. The family will receive friends during a memorial visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2016, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Inurnment will be in Mt. Beverly "June" was born July 28, 1934, in Decatur, IL the daughter of Louis E. and Beulah (Ellis) Durbin. She married Louis Herbert Miller Jr. on October 15, 1949. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2001. She began her work career for Home Manufacturing in Decatur and went on to work for Glacken Trucking. She later went to work for General Electric Company until her retirement. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed going to area garage sales and auctions, and enjoyed playing bingo. Surviving is her son: Ron Miller and his wife Gwen of Decatur; daughter: Sherry Shoot and her husband Dave of Decatur; grandchildren: Jason Shoot and his wife Sarah, Joshua Shoot and his wife Karen and Lacy Miller-Schwarze and her husband Mike; great-granddaughters: Dagan Shoot, Talia Shoot, Averie Shoot, and Madilyn Shoot. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, and great-grandson: Cooper Michael Schwarze.
