Obituary for Kevin L Walker

Kevin L. Walker 59, of Decatur, IL passed away Wednesday at 4:16 a.m., November 21, 2018, in his residence.

A service to celebrate Kevin’s life will be held at 10 :00 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Township Cemetery with military honors provided by the US Army. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday evening, November 30, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society supporting cancer research or the Wounded Warrior Project. Kevin was born March 31, 1959, in Decatur, IL the son of Alvin L. and Patsy R. (Castleman) Walker. He married Shelly A. Roderick on March 8, 1983. He was retired from the National Guard/Army/AGR. Kevin enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking, his family, and serving our country.

Surviving are his wife: Shelly of Decatur; mother: Patsy Walker of LeRoy, IL; daughter: Natashia Brueggemann (Justin) of Oreana; son: Brad Walker of Decatur; grandson: Charlie Brueggemann; brother: Tim Walker (Kathy) of LeRoy, IL; sister: Melissa Walker of LeRoy, IL.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father.
