Jonathan Roman "Rusty" Shaffer 45, of Cicero, IL formerly of Bloomington, IL passed away October 25, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Rock Creek Cemetery, Waynesville, IL. Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel, Decatur, IL is assisting the family with arrangements. Rusty was born February 4, 1974, in Normal, IL the son of David Ray and Martha (Brown) Shaffer. He worked as a concrete mason for Local Union #502. He married Megan Sronce on June 9, 2001. Surviving are his wife: Megan, children: Frankie David Shaffer and Haven Taylor Shaffer, parents: David Ray and Martha Shaffer of Shelbyville, IL; brother: Rodney Shaffer (Shannon) of Chicago, IL; sister-in-law: Traci Lancaster; nephews: Jesse (Imani), Quentin, and Gage; nieces: Rayne and Hunter. Rusty was preceded in death by his grandparents and brother: Ryan.
