John T. Walker Jr., 39, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 in his home. John was born November 1, 1979 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of John T. Walker Sr. and Laura (Ralph) Godfrey. He has worked at ADM for twenty-one years. John loved spending time with his children and his dogs. He married Tonya Whitacre on July 10, 2004. John is survived by his wife Tonya, children David Whitacre (Audrey Kupferschmid), Dakota Walker, Samantha Williams, Tommy Walker, and Ethan Walker, mother Laura (Roy) Godfrey, sisters Valerie Walker (Kevin Queen) and Brandy (David) Kelley, father-in-law and mother-in-law Richard and Juli Whitacre, brother-in-law Adam (Stephanie) Whitacre, and fur babies Harley and Willow. John is preceded in death by his father John Sr. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the Dawson and Wikoff North Chapel.
