Joann C. Sefton Obituary (1932 - 2018)

Joann C. Sefton 86, of rural Mt. Zion, IL passed away at 6:00 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2018, in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. A funeral service celebrating Joann's life will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, January 4, 2019, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., Friday morning until service time. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery. Memorials are suggested in her memory to Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, or First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Decatur, or Emmett Sefton Memorial Scholarship c/o Macon County Farm Bureau. Sefton on March 14, 1954. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2013. Joann was a homemaker and farmer's wife. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Joann greatest joy in her life was her family. Surviving are her daughter: Sharon Sefton-Jenkins (Dennis Adkesson) of Decatur; son: Steve Sefton (Georgia) of Mt. Zion; grandchildren: Dawn Osborne (Kelly) of Forsyth, Tracy Verbiski of Mt. Zion, Joshua Jenkins of Decatur, Brett Jenkins of Decatur, Jacob Sefton (Evan) of Chicago, Joseph Sefton (Rebecca) of Mt. Zion, Anthony Mancini of Mt. Zion; great-grandchildren: Jamie, Kelly, Weston, Wyatt, Kody, Mac, Zak, Trent, Gretchen, Savannah, Ellacyn, Grayson, and Emmytt June; special nephew: Mike McGeehon (Julie) of Decatur; brother: Don Koshinski (Diana) of Mt. Zion. Joann was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one great-granddaughter.
