Gennine M Shaw Obituary (1955 - 2019)

Gennine M. Shaw (nee Althoff) 64, of Decatur, IL left us on Friday, May 10, 2019, in St. Mary's Hospital. Gennine was born January 2, 1955, in Decatur, IL the daughter of Robert and Virginia (Legler) Althoff. She married Robert Shaw on June 2, 1992. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2016. She retired as a pharmacy technician from Decatur Memorial Hospital. Surviving are her siblings: Bob Althoff (Margaret) of Clovis, CA, Kay Cruz (Samuel) of Fresno, CA, Craig Althoff (Karen) of Decatur, Jeff Althoff (Pam) of Mt. Zion, Don Althoff (Laura) of Chicago, Gary Althoff (Anne) of Marion IA, and Karen Hakimi (Simon) of Fresno, CA; also surviving are many aunts and uncles, and beloved nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Gennine's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home. Mt. Zion. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., Thursday morning until service time. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
